As you all know, Scott and I love the internet (mostly). Since many people aren’t traveling to the wedding, we’ve been able to set up a video conference for the ceremony (and maybe the concert?) so whoever wants to participate remotely can do that. The video conference link is Ana’s Zoom room. Download the Zoom app on your phone or desktop before using the link for the best experience. For those of you who are attending, food events have been adapted to limit hand-to-hand contact, and we’ve made wedding-monogramed hand sanitzer for everyone. Because design. Thanks for your support in this!
This being LA, you will need to have a car. If you’re flying in, we recommend renting one near the airport or budgeting for Lyft rides.
We’re so excited to share our wedding with you! We also know that you might be interested in our registry. Instead of individual household items on some big box wedding website, we would prefer if you could contribute to a few larger items that would really enrich our lives. Window dressings, monogramed linens, seating, upholstery, and closet storage solutions are for our home while a Sri Lanka trip will not only celebrate the wedding of our friends Tate and Elite, but also will allow us to buy an engagement gem stones ethically and with a spirit of adventure. Thank you so much for whatever you choose to give; we will send you photographs and mementos of the items when they arrive.
You can contribute to any of these via Cash App ($scottkellum), Venmo (@Scott-Kellum), Paypal (scott@scottkellum.com), paper check, or cash. Please include in the memo what you are contributing to.
Friday the 13th! Crazy. We did not plan that.
Midday, about 11am - 2pm at our house
Join us at our home for brunch and listening to records. We’ll bring food and blankets. You should bring somthing comfortable, maybe some games if you want!
There isn’t much parking, so we reccomend taking a Lyft!
6:30pm - 9pm at Rahel Ethiopian Restaurant
Join us for an informal, family-style meal in one of the many restaurants on Fairfax Ave. in Little Ethiopia. Food will be vegan and gluten free friendly.
2:00pm - 4:00pm including hike time. The ceremony begins at 2:30pm
Park at the end of N. Commonwealth Ave. at the edge of Griffith Park. From there we will walk about 1 mile to Cedar Grove for the ceremony. If you need assistance, please reach out to us beforehand.
If you are unable to attend in person, you can attend via our Zoom room. It may be silent when you join but the AV setup is working.
It will be a Quaker style wedding ceremony. What’s a Quaker wedding ceremony? Here is a quick description of a Quaker wedding ceremony, Scott’s aunt, Evelyn Anne Kellum, will provide an introduction before our ceremony.
We’ll hike up an access road to Cedar Grove. It’s about a 1 mile hike up a moderate slope. If you need a wheelchair or other affordance, let us know! We can plan for that. Wear whatever you want to hike in, and sit wherever you like. There are stumps, rocks, and we will provide some blankets to settle on but you are welcome to bring your own seating accomidaitons.
7:30pm - until we get tired. at 2009 E 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90033
Please join us for a night of music (provided by friends of ours) and dancing. We will serve tacos, water, Kickapoo Joy Juice (ask Ana or her dad), and wine will be provided.
If you are unable to attend in person, you can attend via our Zoom room.
Wear fun stuff, party stuff. Ana will be wearing a huge dress that is not white; Scott will be wearing a suit. Ask us for more if you’re still unsure. Dancing will be integral. Bring your babies and your dancing shoes. Or get a sitter, we don’t mind.
11 am - 1pm at Salazar
Join us for a wrap up to the weekend at Salazar, an outdoor cafe in the Frogtown neighborhood. We know a lot of you will be catching flights, and, while we won’t be paying for breakfast, we would love to see you before you go and thank you for joining us.
On the street, and it can be challenging. We recommend either approaching this with patience, or taking a ride share.
